1.How many weddings do you DJ each year, and how long have you been doing weddings specifically?
Last Year we Did around 30 Weddings, and about 35 This year, We do weddings and other events (engagement, birthdays etc), and DJ Generally Twice a week at a range of parties & Functions.
2. What would you say your DJ style is—more interactive, laid-back, club-style, or something else?
I Like to mix it up generally, if the party host as a idea of how they would like the style to be, we will fit with that, so if you want some silly chat and a little hyping up the crowd we can do that, or if you want a pure rave / club style, I can do that to.
3. Have you worked at our wedding venue before? If not, how do you prepare for a new venue?
4. Can we see reviews, testimonials, or videos from recent weddings you’ve DJed?
Yes, We are listed on lots of websites including Google, Trust Pilot, Hitched Weddngs, AddtoEvent and often post our gigs on socials (links at the bottom of the page)
5. How much control do we have over the music selection and playlist?
We like to ask for up to 50 songs you love and we will build the rest of the list around your list, mixing in more of want you should love, sone of the most popular wedding songs, and some others we think from our experience that will go down well with you and your guests.
6. Can we provide you with a must-play list and a do-not-play list?
Yes our online system allows you to add notes to song selections and highlight what you 100% want and 100% don’t want. See our Booking System
7. How do you handle guest song requests? Will you play them automatically or check with us first?
You can choose how we take requests, we can take them all (if we can fit them in), let us pick the best requests, or we can take them and pass them to your for approval before we play. We can offer both Request cards to hand out or use our phone/internet system to do it.
8. How do you read the crowd and adjust the music if the dance floor isn’t working?
We look for people early in the night, who are singing to songs we play, or tapping their feet, and along with the requests from you or your guests map out what we might play next, we also speak with people and call out for extra requests if we need it.
9. Can you help us choose music for key moments, such as the first dance, cake cutting, and entrance?
Yes of Course, for the first dance, or entry music, cutting the cake, or anything else you might want to highlight on the day, I have 30 years of music knowledge to pull upon.
10. How do you handle different age groups and musical tastes at a wedding?
If you would like we can play a few game with the younger ones early in the evening, to keep them busy, then we know one of the hardest groups of teenagers will want some music from tiktok or socials, so we will find the remixes and fast edits to make them happy. For the older groups, classic soul, disco and funk with big popular rock, pop & dance. The main thing to remember is most songs are only 2.30 mins long, so if people leave the dance floor for a drink, within 1 or 2 songs there will be another one they like.
